Mr Martin Maher is a Consultant Obstetrician specialising in fetal medicine and high-risk pregnancy care. He combines advanced ultrasound expertise with clear, compassionate counselling to help families understand what’s happening, what it means, and what comes next. As founder of The Pregnancy Experts, Martin is committed to delivering trusted, consultant-led care from preconception through pregnancy and beyond.

Mr Martin Maher is a Consultant Obstetrician specialising in high-risk pregnancy and fetal medicine, dedicated to improving outcomes for families facing complex pregnancies. With advanced ultrasound expertise, he has grown his NHS Fetal Medicine Unit (since 2016) into a regional referral service.

He founded the Placenta Clinic (2017) to support pregnancies affected by fetal growth restriction, and the Rainbow Clinic (2019) to provide specialist care after pregnancy loss.

Martin is Clinical Director of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Regional Clinical Lead for Maternity across Lancashire & South Cumbria, and Ultrasound Training Lead for the North West School of O&G. A former RCOG Council representative for North West England, he has contributed to multiple local, national, and international publications.
