Service Description
NIPT Advanced builds on everything included in our Standard package and extends the analysis to screen for the six most clinically significant chromosomal microdeletions. Microdeletions are small but important segments of missing chromosomal material that are associated with recognised genetic syndromes — including DiGeorge syndrome (22q11.2 deletion), Prader-Willi syndrome, Angelman syndrome, 1p36 deletion syndrome, Wolf-Hirschhorn syndrome and Cri-du-chat syndrome. These conditions are not detectable through routine NHS antenatal screening and would not be identified on a standard ultrasound scan. NIPT Advanced is particularly well suited to patients who want a broader level of reassurance beyond trisomy screening, including those who have undergone IVF, experienced recurrent pregnancy loss, or simply want greater confidence in the genetic health of their pregnancy. As with all our packages, your results will be communicated with consultant-led clarity and full personalised support.
Cancellation Policy
The Pregnancy Experts does not guarantee continued treatment with a named midwife or doctor, unless this has been specifically purchased as part of your package. If you are unable to attend your appointment, we require 24 hours’ notice. We will try our best to facilitate an alternative mutually convenient time. Failure to give the required notice will result in you being charged the full cost of the service. Please arrive for your appointment 5 minutes in advance so that the necessary paperwork can be completed. Late arrival may result in reduced treatment time or forfeiting of the appointment. The Pregnancy Experts will endeavour to ensure that your appointment runs to time; however, should we need to cancel or postpone your appointment at short notice, we will make every effort to contact you in advance. Prior to your appointment we will inform you of any preparation required in advance of your treatment. Failure to follow the guidelines may result in cancellation of your appointment, reduced treatment time, or additional fees being charged.

We only offer services to patients 18 years and older.
The scan room is located on the 1st floor. Therefore, unfortunately, we cannot offer ultrasound assessments to those with significant mobility problems.
