Service Description

This is the most advanced non-invasive pregnancy screening available for parents who would like to determine if they have a low or high probability of their baby having a genetic condition. The conditions tested for are Down syndrome (trisomy 21), Edward syndrome (trisomy 18) and Patau's syndrome (trisomy 13). Additionally testing for fetal sex chromosome problems and fetal sex can be performed at the parents request.

Cancellation Policy

The Pregnancy Experts does not guarantee continued treatment with a named midwife, sonographer or doctor, unless this has been specifically purchased as part of your package. If you are unable to attend your appointment, we require 24 hours’ notice. Failure to give the required notice will result in you being charged a cancellation fee of £50. Please arrive for your appointment at least 10 minutes in advance so that the necessary paperwork can be completed. Late arrival may result in reduced treatment time or forfeiting of the appointment. The Pregnancy Experts will endeavour to ensure that your appointment runs to time; however, should we need to cancel or postpone your appointment at short notice, we will make every effort to contact you in advance. Prior to your appointment we will inform you of any preparation required in advance of your treatment. Failure to follow the guidelines may result in cancellation of your appointment, reduced treatment time, or additional fees being charged.

We only offer services to patients 18 years and older.

The scan room is located on the 1st floor. Therefore, unfortunately, we cannot offer ultrasound assessments to those with significant mobility problems.
